Dear Students,

We are pleased to announce that the UB sweatshirts have finally arrived! Pre-ordered sweatshirts are up for collection during the upcoming merchandize sales.

Date: 22nd - 24th February 2010 (Monday - Friday)
Time: 10:30AM - 2:30PM
Venue: Area outside the Atrium, above the Courtyard

events at SIM! Be involved in an organization before entering the workforce!

Marketing Department – 2 Designers and 2 IT Architects

Welfare Department – 4

Events Department – 5

Dear Students,

 

Thank you for lending your support in the 2nd handbook sales.

Please be reminded to collect your payment for the sold books during the stipulated time.

Students are also advised to collect their unsold books, which will otherwise be disposed

of after collection dates.

Dear Students,

Having trouble looking for second hand textbooks for the semester? Let’s make things easier for you!

The SIM-UB Student Council will be organizing a Second Hand Textbook Sale this Spring 2010 to help students who are looking for

second hand textbooks. The Council will serve as an intermediary and we will evaluate and negotiate the terms of transaction with

potential clients/buyers. All unsold books will be returned after the sale.

Prices of books will be determined by their condition and will be placed in one of three categories as shown in the following table:

Category A

Category B

Category C

Sold at 60% of original cost price

Sold at 50% of original cost price

Sold at 40% of original cost price

Books are in a an almost brand new condition

Books are in a decent condition with pages unfolded. There may be some highlights

Pages doggy-eared and bent on the sides with lots of written Notes and highlights

* Prices may vary and the council reserves the right to dictate the prices subject to condition of the book.

Students looking to buy and sell can make their way down to the UB Student Council Room at Level 4 (Student Lounge, beside the gym)

at the relevant stipulated dates and times.

Date: 11th, 12th, 13th,14th, 15th, 18th, 19th January 2010

Time:  10.30am to 12.30pm

Note:

Please ensure books for sale are only for courses offered Spring 2010.

All books not collected after 22th January 2010 will be disposed.

Sellers are entitled to the full price of books sold. The council will not profit from sales.
